Dana Belshe Digital Pattern Service was established in 1992, after Dana decided to put the vast amount of knowledge he gained while working for others to work for himself.

At first, he made patterns for established companies such as Crazy Shirts, Ocean Pacific, Quiksilver, Stussey, and Mossimo. As surf-wear became his core business, he migrated towards the coast. His office in West Costa Mesa overlooks the Pacific Ocean. If you ever need the surf report, just give him a call.

Soon after the move, he found himself with a list of clients that read like a who’s who of the surf industry. Companies like Katin, Burning Snow, Hawaiian Island Creations, Counter Culture, Split, Roial, Drawls, Spot, Hardtail and many others were knocking at his door.

In 1996, Dana went digital, purchasing a state of the art CAD system by Lectra for pattern making, grading, and markers. This allowed the company to take a more aggressive approach to the business and better serve its clientele.

Dana’s next major update of computer equipment, three years later, made the system more pattern maker-friendly. He was then able to e-mail patterns and markers to other systems, keeping the company at the forefront of technology.

In the year 2001, Dana rebranded and refocused his company. A new tropical look to his office and logo, and the launch of this website gave the company a laid-back and relaxed feel, but quality and service is, was and always will be the number one goal.
